What did I make this week?

This week has been a very snowy cold week in Aberdeenshire. I’ve kept busy! The thing with crochet and crafting in general is you can do it inside or outside, an all weather activity. ๐ŸŒจ

Firstly this week I was experimenting with produce bags. I get frustrated at the super market when the only option I have is to put my onions etc in a plastic bag if I want to buy them loose. If I take mine loose to the check out in my basket or trolley and the check out staff aren’t impressed! This lead to me making my own, for say grouping onions, tomatoes etc separately so it’s easy to be weighed at check out rather than me hunting around my trolley for all my loose produce! They are great and will last for years. I’ve also made some lunch bags. My hubby used to take his lunch to work in a plastic carrier bag. Now he takes his sandwiches wrapped in a fully compostable wrap, they are sticky and last about 6 to 12 months and can them be composted! I get mine here https://www.facebook.com/nthturtle/ and have found them to be amazing and they fit perfectly in my lunch bag. I’m thinking of adding some wooden beads to these lunch bags too.

Next was some more eco friendly cotton dish cloths. These are great and I have tested these endlessly. I have ones for dishes, ones for dusting and ones for bathroom cleaning. They wash amazingly well and I dry mine on a radiator. They feel so substantial. They are available here. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ByMollyMoo

The one project I have been picking up each evening is this beautiful shawl/wrap. The colour combo is pistachio and I think it’s wonderful combination. It’s soft and I love the drape. I have called this one the Moo-Delicious! This one is a available here. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ByMollyMoo

I will be making several of these for myself as well in lots of colour combinations. I’m thinking it’s perfect for spring or summer. I can imagine it looking great with jeans and a t-shirt or just as good with a summer dress. ๐Ÿ’•

This coming week I am planning on painting little terracotta pots for my tiny succulents. These won’t be for sale just an indulgence for me! I’m also hoping to make up some more of the Moo-Delicious shawl/wraps, I just need to choose the colours, I keep changing my mind!

Hoping you have a great crafting week ๐Ÿ’•
